This season I transformed the looks of few of my pieces with the corset tops. It instantly made each outfit look more interesting and modern. Corset tops are easily available these days in multiple colors and look sharp.

This look I created for Durga Pooja keeping the auspicious red and white in mind. This saree is almost 2 decades old. Love the silk thread work all over. Wore it with the traditional blouse several times. So this time thought of giving a fusion look with the corset top and linen skirt. For me it takes lot of planning to wear a saree this heavy, so made the pallu (over the shoulder) pleats beforehand. Also, for saree this thick I did the pleats on the skirt wide and spread out to give a lehenga touch. The whole look came out well as desired.
This is a Rajasthani inspired look and can be worn to any festive gathering. Like the previous one, again it is a half saree on lehanga style. I also tried it with gold lehanga or skirt and it looked equally enticing. Wearing with a contrasting pink corset top. Btw this saree is passed on by my mother in law which was part of her wedding trousseau. So, never underestimate the power of a classic saree!
This look is a total mishmash. And I just created this look for the love of this red corset top. The color is so rich and matched with almost all the reds I thought of wearing it with. I also paired it up with a long red tulle skirt for Karwachauth/Diwali and it looked very modern. If you are a contemporary goddess, go for it!
How gorgeous is orange and blue together. The bright orange corset was a color I took my risk with. But I know one thing that all colors have something to offer, you just need to coordinate it well. Any shade of blue will look great with orange. This saree holds a special place and have been worn uncountable times traditionally. But gives an altogether different vibe here. Created this look for an afternoon celebration.
You can not go wrong with black. So, a black corset top is a must have. It can be paired up with any color. Here I have created a modern traditional black and gold look for a Diwali Party right from my closet.
